I cut my work page from 12 projects to a focused few and stopped telling the same story twice. Justine's framework (your experience, public info, confidential artifacts) showed me how to keep the story without the risk. Role decoding changed how I audit my site. Practical and immediately usable.

Justine is one of the best people I've worked with when it comes to portfolio reviews and helping me sharpen how I present my work. She can quickly spot what is unclear, what is missing, and what needs to be reframed to better match what a company is actually looking for.

This intensive helped me think strategically about where I want to take it and which roles and companies I'm aiming for. It made me reflect a lot and organize my redesign process, not just the visuals but also the content, so everything actually makes sense together.

Why learn from me?

I'm a Product and Design Systems Designer with 10 years of experience, including roles at Stripe and Preply.

I've experienced both sides of the hiring process, from repositioning my own portfolio to transition into Design Systems, as well as evaluating designers as part of hiring teams.

Combining that experience with research into what hiring teams value, I developed Storyline to help designers move beyond generic portfolio advice and communicate evidence that's relevant to the roles they want next.

Show what hiring teams value

How do I know what hiring teams are looking for?

Start by understanding the types of roles you're interested in and the skills, experience and responsibilities those hiring teams value. This is what we mean by targeting. It's about finding a clear direction, not tailoring everything for each application.

How do I position my experience for those roles?

Positioning means identifying where your strengths and experience are most valuable, then using relevant evidence to help hiring teams recognise that value. It's not about making your experience sound more impressive.

Do I need a different portfolio for every job application?

No. The goal is to build a strong portfolio aligned with the types of roles you're pursuing. You can make small adjustments for individual opportunities without redesigning everything each time.

Portfolios are not a collection of projects.

They are evidence for the role you want next.
